Marvin May began his business career in 1966 with May Trucking Company, which, at that time, operated a small fleet of six trucks. Two years later Marvin purchased the Company and began to build it into the nationwide firm it is today. The Company operates both Refrigerated and Dry Van Divisions, and handles over 40 million pounds of freight daily. Marvin is also Managing Partner of Juniper Financial and Blackrock Financial. Both companies are involved in real estate investments and development, commercial real estate leasing and commercial equipment leasing. Marvin has taken a very active part in the transportation industry. He has held positions as president, vice president and/or director in many industry-related associations, including the American Trucking Association, ATA Litigation Board, Idaho Motor Transport Association, Interstate Truckload Carrier Conference, Western Highway Institute, and The Refrigerated Carrier Conference. He has also served on the board of directors of Northwest University, Kirkland, Washington. Marvin served as Chairman of the Danny Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament in 1996 and 1997, and has been a loyal sponsor of the tournament since its inception. He was a recipient of the tournament’s Chairman’s Award in 1998. Marvin grew up in Payette, Idaho and attended the same High School as did Harmon Killebrew. At Harmon’s request May Trucking Company became a sponsor of the first Danny Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament. Marvin has two children and six grandchildren. He and his wife, Charlie, reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.
