Marc Butler is a serial entrepreneur and manufacturing executive with over three decades of experience serving as the Founder and CEO of JR Butler, a highly respected firm that designs, engineers, and manufactures the glass skins of monumental buildings across the United States. From humble beginnings as a child in Wyoming, Marc had a passion for achieving the American dream and started JR Butler in Denver at the age of 18 with his parents and only $15,000 between the 3 of them to invest. He persevered through the difficulties that all budding businesses face and scaled the company through its infancy by prioritizing employees, emphasizing leadership, and driving strategic plans for growth.
Sixteen years ago, he created the JR Butler Elite Team with the goal of taking employees from the field and manufacturing plants and helping them grow their careers. Today, the program has expanded and takes 5-6 young leaders each year from the company and puts them through professional development and training classes to elevate their leadership roles. Marc views these leaders as the future of JR Butler and operates with the notion that these individuals and this program will help sustain JR Butler’s 1,000 Year Vision.
In addition to his work with the Elite Team, he is active in the community as a volunteer and philanthropist, having served on numerous boards and advisory committees, including the American General Contractors (9 years), Arrupe Jesuit High School (6 years), Killebrew Thompson Memorial (7 years), and Ivan Carter ICWCA.
Marc is married to his high school sweetheart of 30 years, Dawn Butler. They have two daughters and three grandchildren.
