Russ Huffer

Russ is the former Chairman and CEO of Apogee Enterprises, Inc.  He served as the leader of the glass and engineering supplier for tall buildings of note servicing 9 of the tallest 18 buildings in the world during his tenure. Prior to heading Apogee, he was the president of the Glass Technologies division and held various leadership positions with the Glass Division from 1986 until he became CEO in 1998. Russ was a director from 1999 until 2016 at Hutchinson Technologies, a top global supplier of disk drive suspension assemblies.  Russ was elected to the NCCI (a worker’s compensation company serving the insurance industry) board of directors in 2013 for a six-year term.  In addition, Russ has held leadership positions with Guardian Industries, served as an engine engineer with Ford Motor Company and was a pilot in the U. S. Air Force. He has been a director with the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial since 2006 and served as its chairman in 2010 and 2011.  Russ is currently a trustee at the University of Minnesota Foundation.
